82cm clean blade decorated with foliage and stands of arms on a bright blued ground and highlighted in gilt, the back edge bearing manufacturer's details for "Gebr. Baus & Cie Fabrikanten in Solingen " Brothers Baus and Company, Factory, in Solingen. The factory was established in 1820, regulation steel hilt with wire bound leather grip, contained in its steel scabbard.
