A Diplomatic uniform attributed to Georges Alexander Skouses/Skouzes (1850 - 1937) comprising a tailed jacket with gilt thread embroidery, trousers, vest, two ostrich feathered hats, three ceremonial swords, cane with 14ct gold handle, suspenders, and two pairs of leather gloves. The buttons and swords all bearing the Greek Coat of Arms. Complete with travelling case. Various items with labels or engraved 'H. Poole & Co, Army and Navy Tailors, No 37, 38 & 39 Saville Row, London.W.' Footnote: In 1874 Georges Alexander Skouses/Skouzes was secretary to the Ambassador at Vienna: Greek MP, Minister for Foreign Affairs.
